Hassan font
Hassan was designed by the experienced calligrapher and art teacher Mr. Hassan Sobhi Mourad. It was introduced by the 'Linotype Design Studio' (U.K.) as a 'PostScript' font. It was released in 1993.It is an individual Naskh style. It is a clever combination of graceful proportions echoing an inscriptional Thuluth in its large vertical stems & deeply curved final jim & ain. The result of verticality is improved by the stressed, reined in kerning strokes of ra & waw, the well balanced lam-alif & the proficiently drawn ligatures. The wide band strokes of Hassan Bold font soft some of the angularity & relaxes the anxiety visible in the Light. The traditional style ligatures are rendered with a straightforward flow.
