Hawkhurst font
The release of Hawkhurst type face marks the entrance of a modern successor to the legion of traditional British text faces. UK based type designer Richard Yeend has produced a successful reinterpretation of the transitional typeface. An exclusive characteristic of this new font is the serifs, which join to the letterform stems at minutely changing locations throughout the alphabet. These humorous terminals do not divert from legibility of the line; to a certain extent they task in larger sizes as an interesting element, tempting the reader into the text. It has large x-heights & a wide base in order to rapidly lead the eye across the page. It was released in 2002.
