Imprint font
Imprint font holds an individual place in the 'Monotype typeface library'. It was the 1st font designed particularly for mechanical composition. Specially made by E. Jackson, E. Johnston, J. Mason & G. Meynell for a new review called Imprint font which they were setting up. It is a customized Old style with a Caslon oldface motif. The more ancient features of Caslon were dropped the style was enlarged but certain old face character were retained. It was appeared in the market in1913.
