Linotype Trajanus font
The design of The Trajanusfont was created by Warren Chappell in the year 1940. Originally The font was created by David Stempel. Chappell named The font after the Roman king Trajanus, who ruled in the first century A.D. Trajanus is a text that forms a classic one due to its calligraphic style. The Roman capitals on Trajanus' memorial combined with the lower case style from the time of Karl the Great formed the models for the font characters. The Trajanus is a hallmark of Linotype GmbH which may be registered under certain jurisdictions.
